Fibromyalgia – Awareness, Support & Natural Foods
Fibromyalgia syndrome is characterized by chronic muscular pain with tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. In addition to pain and tenderness, fibromyalgia engulfs patients in a downward, reinforcing cycle of unrestorative sleep, fatigue, morning stiffness, headaches, and dizziness, trouble with concentration, depression, anxiety, and inactivity. It is not uncommon for a person suffering with fibromyalgia syndrome to be mis-diagnoses or left completely undiagnosed for months or possibly even years before finally receiving a proper diagnosis from their medical doctor. Often they are given anti-depressants and told that there is nothing ‘wrong’ with them before being sent on their way. To make matters worse, fibromyalgia symptoms often simply can mimic so many other conditions which only confuses matters more leaving them in a downward spiral of depression as they languish energetically.
